Principal Accountabilities:
  • Maintain and control daily HSE practices with regular checks of work sites, ensure that hazards are identified, precautionary measures are taken and advice trades Supervisors on HSE matters.
  • Monitor and control implementation of all procedures related to the maintenance and effectiveness of safety, lifesaving and emergency equipment and inspect work activities and equipment to ensure correct operation and that procedures are implemented. 
  • Ensure that effective records are kept and updated for all equipment under his control.
  • Promote safe working systems and procedures. Monitor and advise on proper application of 'Permit to Work' system, conduct gas and atmospheric tests, participating in actual 'Job Watch' as and where necessary; such as hot tapping, mechanical sealing / plugging, entry into dangerous confined spaces and ensuring that all ensuring that all safety regulations and practices are adhered to.
  • Coordinate and participate in identifying and evaluating HSE hazards / risks and recommend measures to reduce them through company relevant Process Hazard Analysis technique.
  • Coordinate and participate in the provision of HSE awareness in accordance with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 specifications and conduct some specialized courses (e.g. H2S training, Permit to Work System training & refreshers). 
  • Prepare programs, arrange participation in conjunction with line management and give lectures using specialized audio visual equipment, hand-outs and practical demonstration.
  • Participate as a leader or member of an emergency team, providing first line consults / advises to On Scene Commander concerning containment of emergency, and participate in detailed first aid or emergency action dictated by situation, provide reports on situations existing at the time of such incidents and present comments on causes and possible remedies and train fresh / Temporary 'On Scene commanders' on their prime roles during emergency & deliver periodic refreshers.
  • Investigate all industrial and non-industrial incidents and accidents involving personnel, plant and equipment including dangerous occurrences. Analyze causes, determine future action to reduce these occurrences, prepare and maintain statistical records of all incidents, and near misses. 
  • Prepare the related periodic reports highlighting and analyzing problem areas and recommending preventive measures.
  • Ensure that Health, Safety and Environmental programs and procedures are communicated and understood by all on-site personnel and participate in giving lectures and talks on such activities during scheduled inter-departmental HSE Meetings.
  • Conduct frequent audits and inspections to ensure the effectiveness of HSE programs on critical operations/equipment and procedures at assigned location present recommendations for improvement and follow-up their implementation. Prepare the related periodic reports for critical procedures, highlighting and analyzing problem areas and recommending preventive measures.
  • Participate in investigating environmental accidents / incidents and in eliminating pollution sources to a practicable minimum.
  • Promote Waste Management programs for collection, storage, transportation and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
  • Participate in promoting the occupational health programs with all their aspects and monitor work force exposure to personal hazards and ensure safe working within permissible limits (e.g. Noise, glare, chemicals, toxicity, NORMS, ergonomics, etc.), and propose proper safeguards. 
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree holder in an Engineering / Technical discipline or equivalent.
  • 8 years experience in Industrial Safety / Loss Prevention in an oil industry.
  • 4 Years experience in offshore oil/gas installations.

Purpose and Scope :
  • Directs and participates in reservoir testing, evaluation and interpretation activities and recommends optimum methods of performance monitoring. 
  • Participates in studies designed to define optimum reservoir development plans. Includes setting reservoir testing programs, interpreting results and liaising with other team members and Field Operations personnel to coordinate reservoir engineering requirements. 
  • Ensures final reporting well file updating for all analysis and field data and ensures data input by concerned staff. 
  • When involved with study projects ensures the receipt, calibration, computer manipulation and output of production test data. 
  • Provides advice to other team members on reservoir engineering aspects of the study.
Duties Performed:
  • Conducts mathematical and simulation studies to determine optimum methods of oil recovery and reservoir resource management or respond to changes in well/reservoir performance. 
  • Participates in simulation studies and reviews objectives with Reservoir Engineering Coordinator and/or Team Leader to establish study parameters such as test and data required and reviews progress and modifies acquisitions as necessary. 
  • Supervises and provides guidelines to Reservoir Engineers involved in interpreting test data from wells, such as drill-stem tests, flow and build-up tests,core analyses and various production test data utilized in studies.
  • Directs and participates in well surveillance activities and reservoir definition and behavior prediction of assigned reservoir. 
  • Establishes test and production objectives for each well and ensures proper surveillance and well-file completion. 
  • Includes approving development and production testing proposals, generally reviewing such tests and analyses and ensuring the consolidation, reporting and well-file updating of the team¡¦s work and studies relating to individual wells. 
  • Participates in the annual production logging campaign planning and preparing reservoir engineering requirements for workover and completion operations.
  • Participates in the definition of contracted special field testing related to reservoir engineering. 
  • Includes defining scope of special test for Reservoir Engineering, preparing specifications, evaluating bids and recommending final award and contract features as assigned. 
  • Monitors contractor compliance with contract terms and schedules and details progress and performance in regular activity reports. Also reviews invoices to recommend payment or adjustment as appropriate.
  • Recommends reservoir areas and program features for pilot studies of various oil recovery enhancement techniques. 
  • Includes presenting fully justifies proposals for field trials of various techniques, such as water or gas injection methods, acid fractures or additional performance. 
  • Monitors results over scheduled trial life and reports findings and recommendations to other team members outlining estimated impact of enhancement on the field or reservoir.
  • Directs and participates in defining the scope and content of in-house and/or contractor reservoir studies used to assist in determining well behavior and optimum recovery methods required to maximize efficient and cost effective oil production. 
  • Includes, establishing program specifications to accomplish agreed goals and required output, reviewing available in-house or vendor resources and preparing tender documents, reviewing and evaluating bids and monitoring contractor performance through to project completion where contractors are used for such studies.
  • Ensures the overall receipt, calibration, plotting, tabulation and file/database updating of production data, such as core analyses and pressure tests, used in reservoir engineering studies. 
  • Includes establishing new tests as appropriate, establishing priorities and schedules for calibration, computer manipulation and plotting of received data. 
  • Reviews results to ensure appropriate output is provided to other Reservoir Engineers for incorporation into their studies. 
  • Also ensures computer data bases, well-files and related project files are updated and that appropriate copies, indexing and storage of cassette tapes or disks is carried on time. 

Minimum requirements :
  • Problem-solving oriented mind, good communicator, self-starter with the motivation to get things moving, willingness to train and mentor
  • Successful track record in modeling and history matching large carbonate fields (>300 wells) with long production/injection history (> 20 years)
  • 15+ years in reservoir simulation experience. Less-experienced candidates with truly outstanding achievements will be considered.
  • Well rounded experience in all aspects of reservoir engineering (CCA, SCAL, PVT, PTA, material balance, ¡K)
  • Ability to run EOS software to match routine PVT data
  • Current practice of Petrel and Eclipse family of software including @pvti, @graf, @schedule, @vfpi, etc¡K
  • Ability to script in awk, sed, unix and graf/grid commands a plus

Job Purpose & Scope:
  • Directs, manages and co-ordinates the activities of Mud and Cement laboratory. 
  • Manages a team of laboratory personnel and sets standards for their work quality and performance. 
  • Supervises the technical evaluation in the procurement process of standard and non standard mud, cement, fluid and acid material required for the rig operations. 
  • Provides technical support to 28 rigs operations on continuous basis. 
  • Monitors the industry development in the mud, cement, fluid and acid operations and introduces the latest technological developments to produce quality wells at the lowest cost.

Main Duties/Accountabilities: 
  1. Directs and plans the activities of assigned personnel in the mud and cement laboratory. Performs supervisory functions and exercises financial authority at the level established for the position.
  2. Reviews and analyses work progress ensuring that the set procedures and programs are being executed efficiently. Anticipates work requirements and ensures that laboratory tests are done ahead of time for the operations execution.
  3. Designs and recommends cement slurry formulation for use in primary and remedial cementation. 
  4. Sets and recommends specification and standards for mud and cement additives. Performs necessary laboratory tests to confirm suitability of products for use in the operations. Ensure quality control of mud chemicals before delivery (pre-lifting check) to store/ rigs.
  5. Directs the experimental evaluation testing procedures and approves laboratory reports. 
  6. Performs related studies on cement, mud and completion fluids and evaluates new products and techniques proposed by service companies to ensure acceptable standards.
  7. Attends the laboratory at irregular hours an on call basis to carry out testing/analysis of the Mud & Cement products to meet urgent operational requests.
  8. Ensures that he mud and cement laboratory is maintained in safe and efficient working order. 
  9. Knows the Company Health, Safety and Environment Policy, Procedures, Regulations and Objectives as they relate to his area of responsibility. Ensures that work under his control is performed in a safe and environmentally sound manner. Conducts effective accident investigation and follow up. Implements specific Safety Management System Programme activities assigned to him.

  • B.Sc degree in chemistry or related science / engineering discipline.

Work as part of a team of developers, business analysts and DBAs to design, develop, test, and support transaction processing systems. Must have strong analysis skills to identify consistent and complete solutions to complex processing requirements. The primary language is C, with a focus on database interaction, concurrency, performance and correctness. A familiarity with ASP.NET and ASP will help. The Senior C Developer should have a strong database analytic skills, who is familiar with performance tuning and identifying bottlenecks.
